Wilder Nomad Adventure

Update of the Wilder Nomads

Good Morning:

I woke up this morning and it is cloudy and muggy in Bullard Texas.  It has been sprinkling some and it is pretty gloomy.  We arrived here on Sunday and it seemed nothing was going to be going right.  We are at Bushman RV Park in Bullard Texas and this RV park is beautiful.  We pull in and go to #75, our spot and there is a truck parked in our designated area.  So I get out of the truck and knock on a door of a motorhome to see if it is their truck and no-one answers.  I call the park management and tell them we cannot park due to the truck being there.  Around 15 minutes later they call back and told us the truck belonged to the people in the tent across from the truck and they are showering and will be there to move it when they are finished.  Inconvenient???? Yes…..so we sit and wait.  Finally here they come in their robes. lol lol They move the truck and we begin to get set up.  Now to back up a little, we are both still not feeling well.  We are sluggish, coughing, and just don’t have a lot of energy.  So what usually takes us about 15 minutes to set up was more like 45 minutes.  We got all set up, called my friend, Jan to come on out to see us.  I had several things delivered to her home for the tv and wifi and she said she would come out and bring all the stuff. Here she came and I walked up to open the gate for her and we unloaded everything she had received for me. She loved the 5th wheel and she stayed and visited for a little while but she could tell we didn’t feel good and went back home.  I worked and worked on trying to get our tv to work with what I had and I had zero luck.  I am not real techy so it is always a challenge for me and Curt is absolutely worthless when it comes to technology.  haha. I was so frustrated and just decided I would worry about it the next day.  By evening, I told Curt I was not cooking.  We loaded up and went to Tyler to grab something to bring back to the camper to eat. When we got back, our gate key would not work.  I called the management again and they couldn’t figure it out either but finally someone came by to open the gate.  All I can say we didn’t have the best first day here.

On Monday, I got up and Sadie and I took a long walk, came back and I gathered up all the laundry and headed to the laundromat. That is something I am good at. lol. While I was at the laundromat here in the park, I began to research TV on the go.  I finally got a hold of a great guy from DISH anywhere and we talked and he explained exactly what we would need for the 5th wheel.  I had him order everything and we should actually have TV on Friday, I hope.  During my research time and laundry time, I walked over to the office to get another gate key.  They reset it, gave me a new key and still nothing happened.  I was kind of happy it wasn’t me not doing something right.  Come to find out, no ones keys were working.  They called a man to come work on it and they got it fixed and all is working again.

Today, we both still are not feeling the best but we are determined to get better.  This stuff we have is not for the weak.  The coughing is wicked and is the worst part of it.

We have to get our 5th wheel inspected in order to get the tag for it.  We will have to hook up today and take it to Gander RV to get it inspected, then come back to the park and get settled again.  Tomorrow we will head to Livingston to get the trailer registered and tagged.  Hopefully by next week we will begin to do some fun things.

Until then…….we pray to get better and have some fun adventures.
