Wilder Nomad Adventure

Our Texas adventure has ended

This morning at 8:19 am we pulled out of the Bushman RV park in Bullard Texas.  It was raining and very muggy.  Curt made an executive decision to not go back to Texas until it was cooler. lol I had to agree.  In spite of all the problems the first week, the crappy weather and the virus issues, we had a great time.  We cut our visit short due to the virus.  We are headed to Wichita, to stay for tonight and then on to Dodge City in the morning.  We will stay in Dodge for 1 week instead of 3 weeks.  We have to get some business taken care of, then we will head to Colby, Ks where the kids are and we will stay there indefinitely until the virus situation is better.  We shopped and bought as much staples as we could hold in the RV.  Just would rather be safe than sorry.  I am so thankful that I know how to cook from scratch.  We bought food instead of paper products.  We can’t eat paper.  So we are set for quite a long time, just in case the nation goes to complete lockdown.

We said our goodbyes to Mitzi Bain, and Kyle Smith yesterday.  Lots of hugs and kisses.  Then we headed to Jan Hatherly in Tyler for supper, lots of cooking and she was gracious enough to let me get our laundry done at her home.  Sadie, our sweet dog loves it at Jan’s and loves Jan.  She has a small pond that Sadie loves to stand in to cool off and drink from. She loves just chilling outside and watch what goes on. It is always hard to say good bye to our friends but we assured all of them we would be back when all of this is over. We are so blessed to have our Texas friends that we consider family.

Jan has a beautiful back yard and I will say this.  The woman knows how to cook.  Yum.  We had amazng food while we were at her house.  I made homemade rolls for supper and she cooked the rest.  OMG, it was delicious. We had Charcoal Ribeyes, Grilled Asparagus, Grilled shrimp with grilled lemons, baked potatoes and  apple dumplings.

We made it to Wichita and it is very windy.  We will head out in the morning and head to Dodge City.  We both are exhausted.  It was a long trip to Wichita but we are in a nice RV park and will get a good nights rest to tackle the new day tomorrow.

Next stop Dodge City, Kansas.
