Good Morning to all of you on this sunny cold day. Not a lot going on in the Wilder household other than trying to stay safe from all the virus stuff. We were wanting to go to Dodge until all this virus stuff was over with but sadly we are not going to go. We love the Gunsmoke RV park. We talked about it yesterday and so far it is our favorite place. We liked the RV park in Bullard Texas as it had everything anyone would want but when we went to Gunsmoke we both just knew it would become our spot. It is not fancy but so clean and so comfortable and so unique. It is in our book perfect. But we found out if we leave Colby and go anywhere that has accounted cases of the virus then we would not be able to come back to see the girls and Brett and that of course is a game changer for this Mama and MiMi. So we will stay here the month of May and then see what transpires. We need to continue to count our blessings and not complain but thank God we are healthy and close to the kids.
We had snow here last night but it was only flurries but I can’t remember ever feeling the cold wind like it was last night. It went straight through to the bones.
I have to admit, Curt Wilder spoils me rotten. Every morning, he makes me my cold coffee I love and then he fixes us breakfast. I am so very blessed and spoiled by this man. Being retired and being together in close quarters has been so easy and so fun. We love this life style. I can see why my Daddy and Mama loved it as well. It suits Curt and I perfectly. We are never bored and we are just enjoying each other and each day God gives us.
We are doing a devotion called 21 Prayers Every Christian Should Pray and we are really enjoying it. Jana Zackman has set up a Zoom meeting for all of us to continue our Bible study. We had our first Zoom meeting last Monday and it was perfect. I got to be with Sharon, Rosie, Betty, Mariah, Jana, Cozy, Tami, Hazel, Nichole and Sylvia, our Bible leader. It was awesome. I miss these ladies so much and it was almost like we were all together again.
Ella wanted to go with me to walk on the walking trail at the park. This is an amazing trail. It starts at the park and goes behind the collage and by Dillons and Sonic then by the high school and back to the Park. It is around 1.8 miles. So Tania decided to go too. So we drove to the park and got out and off we went. Well Ms. chatter box was asking all kinds of things which is normal for her and then she found a rock that was colored and Happy was painted on it. Ella begin explaining these rocks are everywhere and if you find them then you are to pick them up and place them somewhere else on your journey to make someone else happy. Well I found one and Ella found another and she was right it was fun and it did make us happy. What a great idea. Tania said something and I said, “boy you are bossy.” I laughed and I said, “I wonder where you got that from?” And immediately Ella said, “From you MiMi” hahaha. So we kept walking and when we got to Dillons there were smiley faces on the trail about every 24 feet or so. I said, let’s take turns on each smiley face and say what we have to do on each one. So she went first and we had to spin, then Tania said to skip and I then it was my turn and we had to walk backward. It went on from there and when we had to turn on our way to the high school there was no trail. Well that is when Ella got tired and started lagging behind. So MiMi came to the rescue and I put her on my back to piggyback. She loved that and it was quite a workout for me. Later she got down and started walking again and again she started lagging and again piggyback it was. We finished up and even though we were tired it was lots of fun.
Ella has two cats. Her big yellow cat is GusGus and he has been with her since they were both little. This cat is the most laid back and most tolerant cat I have ever been around. Ella can do anything to this cat and he lets her until he has had enough and when he has he will nip at her. She dresses him up, she puts sunglasses on him and has even put earmuffs on him. She loves her GusGus.
Then later on she wanted another cat and her daddy said the only way he would allow another cat is if he could name him. Well this went back and forth until she said, “Okay Daddy you can name the new kitten.” Well Brett decided on Donnie. hahaha. we all thought Donnie was not a cat name but Donnie it was and it really suits this cat. But his disposition is much different than Gus Gus. He doesn’t let her do those things with him but he loves her and she loves him and Donnie does sleep with her at night. As you can see he is wanting down. hahahaha
Then she has Jaxson, her black lab, and she loves him too, This child loves animals and always has. She is so kind and gentle with them and they love her as well.
I hope you all have a blessed day and please do everything in your power to stay safe from this virus.
Until next time~~~
